PCX 160 SHAME WE'LL NEVER SEE IT

Post by marval »

Yes I know it's not a maxi but pcx 125 is where I am today. Old age and various ailments bla bla, nice and light lovely to ride but oh how I crave a bit more power. The 2021 PCX 160 I guess will only be destined for Asian and probably USA markets, obviously I'm aware that the actual 157cc puts it in the next RFL bracket here in the UK but I'd gladly pay the price for those 15.8 horses!

You can get a 150 kit for it ,as most 125s are available in150 form for other markets .

Remember having run to Highbeach for a tea meet with him. richie the first on his Suzi un-dress, and a fair few others out and i remember Funky letting me have a go on his T Max. nice!
I'm on a SH125... larger wheels and narrower form factor than the PCX, would of liked to see the 'lecky PCX make an apperance... with a hope that an electric SH would follow...
Speed is sameish, or nothuge amount more (like say 300) just more torque and hill climbing ability and turn of speed roll-on all real world welcome and usefull everytime you leave the house, rather than an extra 10mph or so.
Enjoy ya ride,

Yes of course but I dont have the expertise to do it, so the cost would be prohibitive even then I'd still only end up with 13.3 hp and none of the advances of the 2021 160. Also would want the 4 valve engine, wider tyres, rear disc plus 2 wheel abs and so on.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy one of the 125 scoots with the max allowed 15bhp, like the Forza? OK, probably a bit pricier and slightly heavier than the PCX, but all the power of most 150s and probably a better scoot generally.

Thanks Mr G, but it's the whole weight and bulk thing. My friend owns a 125 Forza, I had a little go on it, just wasnt happy. To be honest I would have had the 300 if I felt ok it for the few extra quid and kgs
