As mentioned elsewhere I am wonderng about going on with my slverwing 600 this year.
Another thought is to move over to a smaller, and lighter machine, as I continue to fall to pieces myself !!! plus the grassy hill up from my garage.
One thing I do worry about though as always is rear suspension that I think may be better on the 600 than the old 300 Forza, though there are a fair few shocker upgrades for the older Forza at least.
What I would be really interested in, if there is someone who has been on both 300s, is what they are like please compared to each other ? please.
To be honest with my knees and shrinking height !!! Gravity is getting the better of me, it might need to be the 2012 Forza- 2107 seat height wise.
However I do wonder if its actually a step back from the 600, even ignoring the power etc.
Lighter and easier would be nicer.
I ride the 600 with the hump off by the way for a much roomier ride.
Thanks in advance anyone in the know, or who knows anyone who`s had experience of both.
If anyone has a decent, earlier Forza going affordably, I might be convinced sooner too.
OLd Forza 300 or New Forza 300.

Never had either!! However, they are very different beasts I think. The original one struck me as a bit lack lustre, designed as well as being built in Thailand I believe, whilst the new version is much closer to the 125 models, which are top notch.

I'm in a similar situation, not riding but pushing and pulling it around. Approaching 70 and I've also lost a bit of strength over the lockdown I've made the decision to downsize. The difference is, I sold it last night so I'm in the market.

As the owner of a 2019 Forza 300, from what you say about your needs I would recommend that you look at.....

Yeah, I know. Not what you were asking. But it does sound like what you need. Of course you haven't mentioned budget and that is usually the point at which Yamaha drops out of contention.

Budget wise I was thinking of £1500-2000 for an older Forza privately.
Do wonder if there will be enough space though.
If times were Normal I`d do a quick test ride cheeky at a dealers or sit on one at least.
The tricity looks good but for that price with an old fashioned ( poor ) rear end its a lot, thank you though.

Nothing wrong with the old forza. I have had mine 6 years. Very reliable and has been on many long distance trips.

Re: OLd Forza 300 or New Forza 300.
Ive had both.
Both great machines, the old version I feel is more sit in as sit on, great for moving your feet about, loads of underseat room, and the SH300/forza motor is a peach. The newer version is a bit more polished, elecky screen and all, Honda dont go backwards (except VFR) so it is slightly better as in styling ,dash ext.
Its all down to budget imo. Now Ive had a couple of silverwings and I really do have a softspot for them, but at 60 with knackered knees, Forza all day long.
Ive just had a replacement knee and have a new SH 125 in the garage which suits my needs atm, but come summer when I need something bigger to take mrs Horobags on days out , the old version forza 300 will defo be on the menu.

Re: OLd Forza 300 or New Forza 300.
Better off with the new Forza 350 I should think?
The 300 Forza, (125 shape) is a bit weak power wise and at it limits on motorways.
Wing mirrors are poor on the 300 Forza (125 Shape)
Electric screen doesnt go high enough
Economy is good.
Not very roomy for taller riders either
Storage is epic
Not sure you can compare it to a silverwing,
My 300 forza (2019 model) pegged out after 500 miles from new, never found out what was wrong with it as I traded it in when it came back off the AA truck
May be look at a burgman 400?
Dont know about the old/old forza 300
