Hi everyone, i have tried to browse all forum as much as possible not to waste anyones time but couldn’t find the answer...
I have 2017 x max 300 with a fob ignition.
The issue is scooter wont start even if battery fob is working ie it doesn’t blink for more than 20 seconds while scooter is on.
The bike will start if I use smart key therefore bikes battery is fine and I have charged it and I can start multiples times with secret code.
However, if I use a fob it just won’t start, nothing happens.
Any idea what it could be?
Many thanks for your help spring is coming and bike in the garage....

Re: X Max 300 peculiar ignition issue
So you have the fob turned on, you press the button/switch on the bike it clicks the key light on the dash comes on and allows you to turn it to on,
the key light on the dash goes out the side stand is up you pull the brakes and press the button but nothing happens?
If the bike switch does not click is the fob turned on and as a good battery, do the indicators flash and bike bleep if you press the button on the fob?

I make sure that the fob is on, it has a flash light of 0.1 second. But then I try to turn on the bike I can’t move switch at all, it’s blocked no lights come on. Nothing.
So what I do turn on engine with secret code.
I’ve read on manual that fobs battery dies once it starts to flash for 20 seconds it doesn’t do that but nor does it beep and indicators flash. I will go now and replace fib battery just in case.
Also stupid question I have washed my bike for spring and some of the water come towards the battery and it become a bit wet, could it have any effect? My older bikes never cared about but maybe for maxi scooter is different.

If it's not already been done, it's not clear, is to put a new battery in the fob.

Feel like idiot! I’ve used manual re battery to check if it’s dead and simple fob battery change helped!
Sorry for waisting time. Simple learning don’t trust the manual!
