My 2018 Tmax sx won’t start after I changed battery in the key fob.
The fob is definitely on (short flash).
It doesn’t even lights up the dash.
Bike battery is full as I have a smart charger on.
I can start the bike with the emergency process but doesn’t do anything else with the key fob.
Is there any resetting tricks to bring her back to life again?
Thanks in advance

Try a different battery . turn the key on and off a few times . I used to get it a few times on my 530 . If the New battery is not perfect it wont work . Try a Varta battery good luck

Ok….daft reply here, when i changed my battery in the key fob on my tmax, the battery looked very pretty on one side, then I realised it was a protective covering……just a thoughtTmax wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:29 pm My 2018 Tmax sx won’t start after I changed battery in the key fob.

did you throw the old battery away, was it completely dead, they can not really sell loads of those flat key fob batteries, you have no way of knowing how long its been sitting on the suppliers shelf,do batteries deteriorate just sitting on a shelf in its packaging

This was a duplicate post. You can see it listed below.
The battery in the fob was working,, so must be ok now. Mine still acts up but moving the handlebars is usually the trick.

Re: Tmax 530 sx won’t start
Since we're reviving this thread, though hopefully its sorted...if the scoot thinks the key fob battery is nearly flat, there is a warning on the dash - the light with the funny symbol stays on for a bit rather than going out instantly. It will do this even if the key fob is still apparently working and switching on & off OK. The scoot will continue to start... for a while anyway!
