side luggage

Post by johnakay »

obviously its early days for the 350.
so I'll start with the Forza 300.
have any of you guys done touring 2 up with hard side cases or soft luggage.
how did you find filtering in heavy traffic.
obviously m/bike are a narrower so they're fine for filtering.
at least mine was tracer 700.
its mainly traffic at Penrith junction going on to m6/m8 heading to highlands no problem any where else..
pictures of your set up would help a lot to.

Is/was your Tracer 700 not suitable for 2 up touring?

Personally I avoid side cases, but it depends on how much stuff you have and room to put it in!
The last holiday I did, I came across totally gridlocked traffic in Hawick (of all places!) and I was just able to filter through the gaps to get free. Passed some guy on a flash BMW bike with panniers and he was totally stuck.

yes very much.
we did 1524 miles in all. we were lucky to have lovely weather the whole week.
maybe with a maxi scooter I may not need to carry wet weather gear so much?
