Burgman 650 K4 - what's the cable for?

Post by Francley40 »

Happy Christmas Burgmeisters,
If you get bored on Christmas Day, and have a few minutes to spare, can you give me a clue what the cable that came with my scoot is, please.
I was looking for a hidden compartment, under the seat, that might contain an owners manual.
There isn't a manual, and I have now found the fairly groovey under-seat light, however I did find a cable about 200mm long with a loop at each end but I've got no idea what it's for.
Any ideas, please.
Ta v much.
I ride, therefore I am.

Helmet locking strap. You thread it through your helmet strap 'D' ring or equivalent, lift your seat and you will see somehere to loop it onto then close the seat down. You cannot (in theory) remove the helmet unless you have the key to lift the seat. You can then leave the scooter with the helmet secured. Bear in mind that nothing is totally secure though and a determined thief could still take it.
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!
