That looks similar to the paratrooper bikes from WW2 Jim
It was indeed a very similar bike, this one had a 98cc Excelsior side valve engine coupled to a Burgman two speed gear box with a kick start, it was my first bike albeit a bit unreliable for my 9 mile each way journey to work - on the flat it could make 30mph deteriorating rapidly to a crawl up steep hills until piston seizure half way up until cool down hours later where it came back to it’s horrible self.
Eventually parted with it for £15.00 in px for a very good sprung forked push bike having a Sinclair-Goddard Power Pack 49cc roller drive motor on the back wheel, - this WAS VERY RELIABLE and took me several hundreds of miles over many months without problems other than occasional de-coking.

A 1970s Derbi GT4V (it will look like this once re-built) Is a 4 speed 50cc Spanish Moped (my first road bike in 1979) and unrestricted so would beat Fizzies, SS50s and keep up with AP50s all day long.
and a blue Derbi Coyote 4V (again it will look like this once re-built) Same frame and engine as the GT4V, but with a fibreglass all-in-one seat and tank unit, raised exhaust pipe, taller wheels with knobblies, different rear light and aluminium mudguards as opposed to the chrome ones on the GT4V.

When I was a youngster an elderly neighbour in my street had an NSU quickly. A great litle bike. Smart and economical. He used to tell me he turned the petrol off at the bottom of the street and it got him to the top before it cut out. I was riding a Golden Flash at the time. Also quite an economical bike.

It was a 1977 'R' Registered NVT Easyrider ER4 and it was fitted with an Italian Morini 4 Speed Engine.
It was useless and was barely faster than my previous Ralaigh Runabout!!!
They are very rare and I have never seen another one.
It had a Spine frame that was also the Fuel tank, the actual 'Tank' was just a Dummy one.
Because of the convoluted shape it had a button on the rear of the frame that vented the tank while filling it up.

Well I don't believe it!!!!! My first ever bike was a Derbi GT 4v which is the red one in the picture. I still remember the reg number
KPO72P, I have many happy memories on that wee little beastie...
