Hi from New England. I have been riding a Silverwing since 2002 and can't find a bike I would trade for it. When the New BMW scoots get here, I may go for a test ride, though. Some day I hope to make it across the pond to tour England and Europe.

Re: Hello to your all, just joined!
Hello Kurt and Welcome,
The Silverwing is an excellent machine from the reports I've read. I've sat on one but not ridden one. I found for some reason my long legs were a bit cramped on it and much too close to the legshields...otherwise I might have considered one for myself. Glad you fit it ok. There's a general maxi scoot section on here where you will meet others with the 'wing'. Hope to see your posts often. Let us all know of your experiences with your wing. Bye for now.

Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Re: Hi from New England.
Welcome. I'm in DC this week for business and the lack of scooters around the place makes it very different from London! I have seen a few chinese mopeds, one Vespa, one Piaggio Liberty 150 and that's it.
Cannot wait to get home and back on my maxi.

Re: Hi from New England.
Welcome to another Colonial.
Yes, I'm jealous whenever I'm in Europe - or the UK if you'd rather not be considered Europeans - and see the quantity and diversity of scoots. And over this winter, even though it's been extremely mild here and I've been riding into work several days a week, I'm lucky if I see more than one or two bikes/scoots a day. I can't understand it. Come the warm weather and they'll be out like ants at a picnic.
