Post by liquidcooled »

Apologies if this has been previously posted but what is the highest recorded mileage on a master engine , and specifically on a nexus 500 ?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that the X9ORC have had recorded mileages significantly higher than 30k.

Alice's 500 Nexus was still going strong at 40k when she sold it.

Well Ive got a Quasar engine on a 250 thats done 37k. The MASTER is its big brother. TBH i think all scoot engines should be able to get up to 60k at least with good maintenance. Its 2012 FFS and 60K is nothing when your paying out as much as a car that would/could do over 100k

I think the master engine is quite reliable, I think the bodywork will rust to bits first!

55,000 miles on my X9 with no problems. Never adjusted valve clearances just one stator and a regulator. Only two sets of rollers, and one set of guides.
Brilliant engine.
