I think Meldrew and I were just making an observation about out how it looks on this forum.

I don't understand why people get so defensive over something like this, are there Yamaha shareholders here? It's only another bike after all, not a family member.

As for TMax owners being more likely to add non standard parts, that implies to me that the TMax owners must feel that the standard Yamaha ones are not good enough, which for the price of the TMax is shocking

The only mod to my Xevo was the air horn which frankly should come with all bikes to wake up dozy drivers

I will now add the standard disclaimer about not meaning to offend anybody, all comments to be taken with a sense of humour etc etc etc........

To steer this thread back to Honda Integra or Tmax 530? Well, Ive found a Secondhand Majesty 400 locally, that has done 83km, for half the price of a new Integra or Tmax 530. So, Im thinking dollars wise, it kind of makes sense if I was to get it.

Yes...wobbly steering but never mind! The Maj is obviously a good deal financially, and is a good scoot I think. But it depends yet again on what you want. The Maj is still a scoot - albeit a big scoot, whilst the Integra and Tmax are more or less bikes disguised as scoots. Obviously the Maj has only 33bhp, and its as heavy as a Tmax, so performance won't be as strong - if that's an issue for you. Similarly, handling will be good, but not up to Tmax standards. On the plus side, it should be a little cheaper to maintain, and its got room for 2 helmets under the seat I think.

Yeah thanks. I'll see what my thoughts of buying this Maj 400 are over the next few days. I usually need a few days to fully decide on thIngs once I am seriously considering them. It's kind of therapy writing on this forum. As, I find if I write something, then when I read it back afterwards, it either sounds like a good or stupid idea.

Aaron, if your going to let a dealer service the Majesty I would check prices first. A lot of bodywork has to come off and even bulb replacement isnt easy on them. If youre going down the route of a normal Maxi then a Burgman is a better bet, IMHO of course.

I suppose main factor for the Maj, is its a really good price, and it's only done 83km. Also, I do think it's a good scoot. If there was a 400 burger for same price, I'd be interested in that also. But there isn't.

I just went and looked at the second hand Maj 400 with only 83km on its clock. And I bought it. Price was nearly half the cost of a new Tmax, so I decided to buy it. Its immaculate. Its been ridden 3 times only, and has only been ridden in dry weather. I felt it was too good a deal to let slip.

So now Ive owned a Yamaha 50cc Zuma, Italjet Dragster 180, Piaggio X8 250, Honda PCX125 and now the Maj 400. (Im keeping the PCX 125 for my wife to ride around on)

I pick it up on Tuesday 3rd April, so cant wait.
