Burgman 400 or Maxsym 400?
Currently running a PCX but now thinking about getting a big scoot again. So what do you think would be the best option for a new 400? Also thought about the new X10. Was keen on the BMW until I saw the price!! So any help on making a decision please.
Oh and also thought about Sym GTS 300, which of course isn't a 400.
So as you can see, I have no idea what I want....Any advice much appreciated.

i looked at a 400 Maxsym in Oldham and was very impresed for the price i dont think they can be beaten very imposing scoot too, it was on my shortlist but i kept thinking of the depreciation and the fact i always wanted the big burger. My choice over the burger 400 or Sym would be Sym

Putting aside where all of the components are actually produced and assembled, it's Japan versus Taiwan, and that includes everything from price to ease of finding service to warranty and resale value.

Quite a few are keen to at least test the X10 350, but not sure I'd want to be the "new model guinea-pig".
I guess the performance & service interval may appeal enough, but I'm thinking of maybe a 12-18 month old one later next year.

for me having had the sym gts 250 and 2 burgman 400's and currently have a 300gts on order..i like sym, alot of scoot for your money.and thats the big bit ..how much do you want to spend .the sym's are cheaper to buy an run.for me the only down side for sym is the kph speedo...but it's easier to read than a lot of other scoots..

It should depend on what you feel comfy with and what seems to fit you better.

Id check the service intervals on the SYM, it might cost you more long term to run than a Burgman 400. Very similar design to the Suzuki, but Id still buy another Burgman over the Maxsym. Or, just wait for the X10.... havent heard of any nasties with the new 350cc engine yet in the Beverly 350.

With the maxSYM I'd check the under seat storage. On the website it looks tiny compared to the GTS. That said you can't trust any of the pictures motoGB put on their website.
