FJS600 Silver Wing

Post by macp »

Dear all

Just spotted an 03 plate FJS600 looks really nice and a great price. I wasnt considering a scoot of this size but I am so tempted. Will this bike have ABS ?

Any thoughts on this machine ?

Have you got a picture of it?
The ABS 'ring' at the front is quite obvious if it's got one - it looks as if it's part of the brake-disc on the inner edge, next to the axle/spindle. The disc is on the left-hand side as you're sitting on the bike.

If you look at the second picture in this thread you can just make out the slotted ABS ring between the fork-leg and brake-caliper:

Yes but I was thinking that my car was costing £215 to tax, over £300 to insure and I was spending around £150 per month on fuel. Road tax on the FJS will be £55 I have checked insurance which comes in @ less than £100 fully comp and at 45 - 50mpg I cant really lose. I dont think ?

Just looked but there is no pic showing the front disc but thanks for the tip.

Update:

Owner has confirmed its non ABS but that doesnt bother me too much as he is asking for less than 2k for it.

Thinking about it a little more its one heck of a chunk of scooter and massively over the top for what I really need it for especially when a 125 or 250 would more than suffice.
