Re: Info required
Now I appreciate all the replys and this is not a dig at any individual because the same thing was said on other forums I mentioned the MOT fail on, just because somewhere sells buzzers doesn't mean they are not an MOT fail, PM Tuning sell exhausts that are race use only but people buy them for road scooters, but that depends on the MOT station I think. But just to close ZZG and Horobags have confimed I'm not going mad lol

Re: Info required
After lots of searching on Google and VOSA & MOTUK.CO.UK I found that the 'tell-tail' for indicators can be either audible or visual (it does not specify that it can't be both). Which means that an audible buzzer or visual light that lets you know the indicators are flashing is a requirement, not a reason to fail the MOT test.

My 1997 Hexagon has a indicator "bleeper" fitted as standard. It is also fitted with a switch to enable it to be switched on or off whichever you prefer. I have it switched on, and have never had a problem at MOT time. (Or with blind pedestians either!).

Just because an item is sold in the UK does not mean it is legal to fit it to your vehicle. You can buy many items which if fitted to a road vehicle would be illegal.JohnR93 wrote:M&P sell them in the UK (http://www.mandp.co.uk/products/list/Bo ... or-Buzzers) so I'd say they were OK.
However, if you do fit items like additional horns and lights etc, as I understand they must be working and if not they can fail the whole bike.
