Hi Folks
Joined up to learn a bit more about maxi scooters, particularly their touring ability, as I currently know very little about them. I have several road bikes and find myself going abroad more frequently and just feel that a scoot might be a better option for touring. I'm sure that I'll find a few posts on the subject.

Hello and welcome!
Yes, you'll find loads of useful information here and yes, maxis make far better tourers than most road bikes.

Re: Hi Folks
Hi there from Blackburn (with Darwen), Lancashire.
(I know it's not compulsory but I wish people (not just new Muppets) would fill in the location field in their profile so we know where they're from.)

Re: Hi Folks
So, six and a bit years later, I will be picking up my first scoot this morning!
Having never ridden one I had no idea what to get so opted for a PCX as they seem to be fairly popular and not that expensive. It's not exactly a touring machine but maybe a Forza 300 beckons in the future?
