Is that the new/replacement deauville?
No it's a naked bike.

It shares the same frame/engine as the Integra and NC700x all of which can have DCT (auto clutch).

It's similar to the deauville in as much as it's built for practicality though.

It gets good milage and has long service intervals. The NC700s/x also have a Mana style storage where the fuel tank would normally be - big enough for a helmet. All in all good practical bikes, though not much fairing.

Seems very cheap for a brand new bike especially a Honda. I'll go & have a gander. Cheers. :)

I timed that right! Had my new 400Z two months ago and the price has just gone up by £400!

Not really - given that Burger / TMax radials are now more or less £200 a pair - the N700S / X / Integra take pretty standard bike tyre sizes (17" rims) which are about the same price - and probably a lot more choice as well!!!

There's a snag with Burger and TMax too then.

Just checked moto-tyres and a set of radials for the TMAX should come in around £150 - £180 delivered, depending on what you choose. Radials = safer. £200 for safety? How much is a decent helmet? And I'm not talking about a Shitberg/Carlsberg.

Call me cynical, but upping the price on the 400Z has to be about jumping on the ABS/safety bandwagon. Theres no way are the extras really worth £900, just crazy.

So, how come tyres for a Burger 400 come in at £200 when for an Xevo 400 £120 including fitting covers it?

Profiteering - simples, and no you're not cynical.

My Caberg V2r was £100 and scored top marks on the sharp test, had a great internal visor and fitted very well. Conversly the Shuberth S1 Pro (which I haven't tried, just looking for examples) only gets two stars and costs £450 quid so it's not all about make or price.

At the end of the day helmets are only bits of polystyrene with a plastic coating so there's no reason for them to cost so much.
