Aprilia atlantic?
Hi all While I had the nexus in bits recently I was using an aprilia atlantic 125 which I bought last year. It's on an 03 plate with just 13000miles. I was going to do it up to sell on but due to some unfortunate circumstances I need cash fast!
I've spent quite a bit on it recently in order to get it on the road & although mechanically sound it still requires some work. I replaced the oil filter & oil, spark plug & airfilter. It's also had new head stock bearings & fork seals & brand new belt & rollers plus front & rear brake pads. I've bled the brake system but I had to bodge the exhaust recently as the previous owner had cut a bit off the silencer where it meets the downpipe to weld the two together instead of just buying a new gasket. It's not loud but it is blowing slightly. Also I fitted the wrong bolt at the front of the silencer which has now put a half inch groove in the tyre. The seat needs recovering & ideally it could do with a repaint. I was just wondering what people thought I would realistically get for it? I'll try & get some photos of it later cheers.

Not sure on a value and I guess you'd do this if you could but you'll get far more if you fix the exhaust/tyre fully, you'll likely only get silly low offers.

Here's a couple of photos I just took. As you can see it is a good solid bike underneath just needs tidying up a bit.

The reason I'm desperate for cash is the company I was sub contracting for on the DLR up until recently gave me some work in Bristol. I was supposed to be working friday, saturday, monday & today but unfortunately the nexus broke down on the way on friday (long story my fault) anyway I basically spent all my last earnings from the previous contract getting the bike recovered & repaired. I telephoned them immediately as soon as the break down occurred it then took them 4 hours to decide they'd just replace me. I only found out when I stopped at a service station halfway down the A303 120miles from home so I'm skint & need money fast as I spent all my money for no reason.

It does look a solid bike, but with the problems you mentioned, you are probably only going to get 50% - 75% of what you could get in good nick.
As I said to StevenM, when he was asking re his TMax; what the bike is worth, and what people are willing to pay, are not necessarily the same figure.
It might be worth seeing what the equivalent 125cc, in a similar condition, is going for on ebay, bike trader etc, then decide what figure you are happy with, or willing to accept.

That's the problem there' aren't any on ebay only a couple of 500s. I'll check biketrader.co.uk see if there're any on there. There aren't any on biketrader either.

Re: Aprilia atlantic?
Don't think it would be more than £500.

I'd take that at the moment.
