But without the vests they would think "bunch of ugly men" so workmen is actually a step up.Meldrew wrote: anyone looking at that photo would think it was a bunch of workmen in their hi-viz vests...

I know what you mean though, my vest is much smarter...........except for the logo of course
WE ARE THE BURG resistance is futile

Re: Dayglo Knobbers
Having worn a dayglo topped bike jacket for a couple of years now, I've noticed that it's the cars in front who notice (especially if I'm wearing my white flip lid).
Alas when I'm riding the italian bike I don't wear the dayglo, but that has more impressive & noticeable safety features such as the epic race exhaust that makes car alarms go off & ears bleed (& has the police scrabbling for the rules on exhaust noise levels on ancient bikes).
What's it matter what you wear anyway on two wheels? After all, the hair is always going to look horrid & flat once the helmet comes off... oh, sorry guys, I guess that's not a problem for you
Anyway, by far the best way to be seen by the majority of the aggressive motorists on the roads is to wear a pink lid, everyone magically gives you more space as they think you will be wobbly & scratch their paintwork of they get too close.
As for knobbers, I though that was the manouvre where I raise my armoured knee quickly into your groin if you displease me in any way.
