This was a proposed ride-out by someone last year but it never happened.

It was, by me, but the lame excuses and last minute drop outs killed it. Seems to be the way with this forum, loads of initial interest then it dwindles as the date approaches, especially if the weather forecast isn't for a heatwave!
I went anyway and it didn't rain I had Hardknott to myself.

Hi Guys, Sorry about not being able to get on here for few days. Work is Shit!!!! Anyway I agree that the Lakes is too much. So What about this for a shorter but interesting route.
West Yorkies go up to Pateley Bridge. probably setting off about 8.30 from Cedar Court Junction 39 M1. (Maybe picking up Fingers one Junction up at Junction 40)? Then to Grassington / Linton. Anyone from Lancs could join us there. Up the B6160 to Aysgarth. Meeting Ady at either Aysgarth. Then onto that nice Cafe at Leyburn. (Or back to Hawes). Ride back via Masham. Ady might want to peel off there and we come back via Ripon. Seems like an interesting route with plenty of dropping in and out places.
Open to suggestions of course. If anyone wants to send me a PM I will give my mobile number to arrange meet up times.

I believe you may have webbed feet eh Meldrew!.Like Xmax9, Cumbria covers a large area ,as does The Fylde coast.

I would be happy to go down and meet at Pateley Bridge and ride on through grassington etc, what sort of time would you be there?
or if your crossing the A59 at some point i could meet there if its easier,
