We could meet up at the Devils Punch bowl (A3) (aptly named for us) and ride down south from there. The area is quiet these days since the Hindhead tunnel has been opened.

I don't know the area, but I do recall them digging up the A3 running around the Devil's punchbowl that the tunnel replaced.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,
My natural exuberance spills out all over the place!

The old A3 has now closed and returned to Nature. But the cafe there can still be accessed via the A333, A287 and B3002.
