tmax exhaust silliness

Post by tmaxed »

Has anyone had any experience or heard much about the akrapovic tmax exhaust? I saw one on a bike this morning and thought it looked rather tasty 8-)

Plenty of vids of them on YouTube, if its a newer model with a CAT you should get some extra power as you will prob be removing it.

is it this one? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 467474945/

i've been thinking about it too. i think it's unnecessarily more noisy. it's not like we have gears in scooters where we can feel the need to hear the satisfying engine tone through gears...

Thats more or less what I was thinking.... although I do htink it looks somewhat better than the stock exhaust (bit slimer).. not worth the cash on that basis though. I also suspect that the performance difference will be very marginal.

I have an old Akropovic brochure for their exhaust on the original TMAx - claim another 2bhp at the wheel if I remember correctly. It comes with a removable baffle to keep noise down to tolerable levels.
Utterly appallingly expensive if bought new (£700?) so for those with loadsa money....
