Yup! not in the manual, but it works the same way as the mk2's. If you look under the seat, the bumstop is secured by 2 bolts, and there are 3 sets of holes in the bumstop. You can only move it a cm either way, but it makes a surprisingly big difference.MjW wrote:You can move the bumstop back and forth? :p

my dad used to be an upholsterer so I could get him to do one for me, just a matter of finding extra padding

Re: MK3 TMax Seats
So I bought a Shad Comfort Seat and fitted it this morning, what do you guys think of how it looks?
I tried sitting on it and it does feel more comfortable but without going on a long ride I don't think I'll know if there's a difference to my arse/back.

Well, it looks prettier, but not a lot different fundamentally!

I hope your arse loves it. Do tell when you test it out properly and thanks for the pics.

Air hawk is good . If you remove the bump stop you are left with a right mess / holes to sit on

Re: MK3 TMax Seats
I replied to this post but it is still on its way!
To repeat. I removed the bum stop about three years past which meant that I could move back
an inch or two. Made it all the better. I am only 5'6'' (yes short arse) but it still works for me.
When I bought the first one (2001) I had the seat 'scalloped' it was much better. So when The Mk.2 came along I had the dealer
put the old seat onto the new scoot. Yes I is a bit strange.

Re: MK3 TMax Seats
I moved the bumstop furthest back (on the mk3) as well, and I'm not that tall either. It felt comfortable, but I somehow felt I'd lost contact with the front end when riding, so I put it back to the middle positionWrinkly wrote:I replied to this post but it is still on its way!

Re: MK3 TMax Seats
I am still debating whether or not the expense of the Shad was worth it... don't get me wrong it is more comfortable but the position is still the issue I think, maybe I should have tried removing the bum stop
