A Burgman 400 could be that only bike for roughly half the money.
So could a Kymco Downtown for even less.

Pah! Chickenfeed. The Burgman Fuelcell cost £1m. I have offered to give it a full 10k mile test commuting into London, but for some reason they weren't keen.

Price as in everything is negotiable .Is it because its a Beemer? .FFS at least try one , I'm not on the pay role , try one then tell me its not worth a punt. As far as I know I am one of the few of the general public to have a go on one .I am not an Alchemist , I am just giving you the heads up on THE new sport scooter. No wonder everyone is depressed and pissed off .life is for living , if you like it buy one if not fair enough enjoy your current bike ,I don't give a shit but I do love sport Scoots and this is a good one .
Sorry buddy all you did was tell people about a great experience you had on what you thought was an excellent scoot. To be honest I am being a bit of a hypocrite because if I really want something I will go out and buy it no matter the price.

True , I had a great time with a great team , but I've had 5 t Max's 4 SP180's and loads of Motorcycles ,including H1A's T500's Italjet Dragsters Triumph Tigers x $ GS's X 5 Harley's X 3 and loads of old stuff I can't even remember . All I can say is I liked both the C600 and GT and at least try before you slag it off for being too expensive /shit value for money . I have ridden them , you guys have not . Go try one . I'm moving to Europe , at least they are open minded there , this seems like a BMW Forum!!!

Meldrew wrote:Wow! Canary Wharf to Biggin Hill now that's a launch, what is it 12 to 15 miles? About 30 minutes riding and hardly time to get the feel of anything. In 2001 when Honda launched the Silver Wing in Barcelona, they rode them 1000 miles in four days back to Slough. :|

We Rode them to Biggin hill through heavy traffic ( which is a good guide to how a scooter will behave day in day out )to where the E bikes were , then there was a nice route out into the country , via Hever Castle , the petrol Scoots did about 90 miles a day the E Scoots about 30 miles.

Most Scooters are used for commuting , I use my T Max for my daily grind , and love the performance I get out of it . The Silver wing / Bergman are as I see it excellent Touring Scooters for those that want to rack up big miles .

I won't bang on about it any more , to each their own and I know 10 grand can buy a lot of other bikes like a KTM 990SMR !!!

All I'd say is try one ,see what you think , its free , no obligation and the BMW dealers do good coffee !!!

I was joking about this being like a BMW forum !!! This is one of the best there is :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

tmaxrobbo, thanks for posting about your experience with the scooters. I'm glad you had fun over the 5 days, it sounds a brilliant experience. But you mean they didn't give you one as a thank you?? Anyway, it all adds to the melting pot of information about the BMW scooters which I will no doubt be taking out for a demo ride at some point. Not too sure if I'd buy one just yet though, not because of the cost, but the rather poor reputation that BMW has picked up for bad quality on some of their bikes in the last few years. I've seen some really bad new BMW bikes that shouldn't have made it past the factory gates. I do hope the scooters prove to be much better in terms of quality, and from what you say, they may be doing that now, time will tell. If Suzuki can produce my humble 400z abs without rust, without things falling off, and with a nice long lasting shiny finish, as they do, then why can't BMW do it when they charge so much money for their products. I wait with baited breath! Thanks again robbo. ;)
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!
