My summary= SH300 now has a faster, longer-legged, larger baggaged competitor with a perkier motor, but it's by no means a done deal.

I would have looked at the SH300 but the piddly tank size and pathetic standard storage and need for a top box tells me that Honda don't understand big-wheel maxi scooters.

Yeah - sounds a reasonable summary, though the Bev's luggage compartment isn't vast either, 2 open face helmets rather than full face ones.
I fell out of love with the SH - it does go amazing well, and it was very economical, but apart from the lack of storage, it lacked weather protection, and was cramped and not comfortable.
