Exhaust rattle cure

Post by barryG »

Had a rattle from the exhaust which had recently got very loud, after some investigation I found the following..... so if you get a rattly tailpiece on your exhaust heres the fix.

The problem only happens when exhaust is hot, the whole tailpiece rattles badly.

Firstly, remove the painted tailpiece which is held on by three torx screws. The piece actually has six screws but only three do anything.

This reveals the real metal tailpiece and again remove by undoing three more bolts.

Then you can see the baffle plate which is again held on by three bolts. Its these bolts which were loose, problem solved.
