but coming back through france earlier this year i got 102 and a mate admittedly a lot smaller and lighter and i was carrying most of the gear actually got 114 granted it was a gentle pace as we were in no rush .

i would say if your riding is mainly motorways/dual carriage ways the burger is a lot smoother ..
but if like us down here in devon most of our riding is twisty country lanes the piaggio is far better you cant half throw it about for a lard arse of a scooter .

and loonys spot on about the doctor pulleys
I got about 87mpg on my last Bournemouth trip (190 miles round trip) WITH a pillion 8-)

My opinion about motorways is the reverse. My brother always struggled to keep up on his burgman (2010) as it just ran out of puff before the Xevo. Roads with potholes though I'd agree the burgman is better.

Pictures and review please! I'd love to know how it compares to the Xevo in terms of power, economy and comfort.

Got a white one (a rather fetching pearly white), which I preferred, but also........ it was the only one in stock :D (and I didn't want to wait for the Italians to come back from their holiday!). I'd seen a grey one (boring IMO) and a black one (2nd choice). Blue ok, but my Xevo was blue & I wanted a change.
First impressions......love it. It's a bit longer than the Xevo but overall lower and sleeker. Very comfortable for arse and legroom. pulls well and smoothly with no hesitation at the start. Handles well. suspension a great improvement on Xevo. I've only managed less than 100 miles on it so far & have to take it easy for the first 600 miles. Will post a more extensive review in due course and some photos.
Two slight annoyances so far..... mirrors not as good as on Xevo (they were more forward on the fairing) and the X10's are one the bars, though Im getting used to them already. The screen is nowhere near as good as the bigger Givi (cut down) on the Xevo, I'll have to wait a while for Givi to make one.
"TO BE IS TO DO" (Kant) .................. "TO DO IS TO BE" (Nietzsche) ................."DO BE DO BE DO" (Sinatra)

Great to hear that the X10 is an improvement over the Xevo.
The white with the brown seat looks fabulous in the many pictures I've seen on't interweb.
Mirror placement is a funny thing, I prefer them on the bars because it makes it easier to change them for a better view.
Not always so easy to change body mounted ones.
Don't think you'll have to wait too long for a Givi screen, I feel certain that the X10 will be a roaring sales success if not here so much then definitely on the continent.

Glad you are pleased rintintin. Make sure you post often as you put the miles on her. We all want to know how you are getting on with it. White would be my choice too.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
