Last Saturday when riding around my weekly fleamarket tour, suddenly the temperature rose and my scoot began to boil. Managed to get her home with filling up fresh water several times ( about 10 miles ). My friend Reinhard who is a scooter mechanic came over instantly and examined the damage. Result was that the waterpump had poofed and stopped working.
Ordered a repair set on Monday and today we replaced the damaged parts. 1 bearing was completely destroyed, the other one was stuck and didnt move a bit any more. The plastic wheel that attaches to the generator was broken and the metal part in the middle ripped out.
Applying the spares took 2 hours. Now my Silver Bullet is fine again and runs better than ever.
Spent all afternoon riding around and enkoyed it a lot, tomorrow I will do a little tour.
Gllad I have her back on the road and rewarded her with a little wash and polish
