I recommend braking by sticking an iron bar through the front wheel and using a small child selotaped to the windsheild lieu of a crumple zone.

Oh dear, wrong on so many levels.
1 iron bar, will need to be tempered or it may shatter, hence no braking.
2 small child, not very PC – as a medium child might be used on a maxi so best not to be ‘child size’ specific.
3 selotaped, does it have to be this brand or will any clear adhesive tape work as well.

Sellotape - surely you mean 'sticky backed plastic'???
