Gants Hill and Stockwell are apparently two of the German stores. I have spent a small fortune in there over the past few days... (just kidding) but have managed to snap up a few bargains.

Interesting that some of the branches will stay open.
Chiswick branch (in the Honda dealers) was selling up what they had left a week or so ago when I was last in there.
There is/was a good, well-stocked branch in Slough run by a Polish guy I got my gortex jacket and trousers from 6 months ago and that was a good deal so will be sorry if that one's closing.
Another one near me between Couldsdon / Purley was pretty good too.

Bournemouth one was closed and empty last Saturday when I went by.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,
My natural exuberance spills out all over the place!

Quote from H-G UK Website

"We are pleased to announce that the following shops are open for business as usual:

Manchester
Stockwell, London
Southampton
Edinburgh
Farnborough
Gants Hill, Ilford, London
Glasgow
Belfast
Maidstone
Preston
Leicester
Braintree
Aberdeen
Hanger Lane, London
Oxford
Chiswick, London"

So if you live anywhere in N Eastern England, then you haven't got a HG dealer at all, as Doncaster, Leeds, York, Darlington and Newcastle have all closed - the nearest ones are now Leicester and Edinburgh! So, good bye HG and thanks for all the gloves....

"with the same great team, and great products"

Doesn't that rather smack of "more of the same" and let's collapse again a bit later?

Yes it does. Their 30% off own label stuff made me laugh too as they seem to have put their prices up by some 20% since I last looked.

They won't survive, I'm pretty sure of that. For example they had helmets at 50% off during their administration phase. Some of those helmets could be bought for that price on ebay.
