Finally fitted the new throttle cable today, I've had it under the seat for 6-8 weeks and not been looking forward to all the plastic dismantling required, but the old one finally gave-up (again) and riding with throttle stuck open is not to be recommended! So after 2.5 hours and a small amount of cussing, all now is tickety-boo.

Nexus - New Exhaust Gasket and Clamp, new head bearings, battery on charge, brakes held on to get rid of any air bubbles... will test everything out tomorrow when battery is charged.
TMax - Moved it out of the garage to work on the Nexus and then moved it back in again.

Get back from hols and stupid thing wouldn't start this morning, it's only been sitting there for three weeks
Quite proud of myself though: disconnected and checked spark plug was sparking, bit of a clean, and got it going. Might have to charge the battery up though...

No sympathy for someone who gets a three week holiday!Zed wrote:Get back from hols and stupid thing wouldn't start this morning, it's only been sitting there for three weeks![]()

Checked my belt on the SH125 for the first time and cleaned the belt filter. Due for an oil change in a week or two, when I'll also check/clean the air filter.
Just about to install an Iridium plug for the X9 250Evo (ordered on EBay yesterday and it was delivered today and only 5.49), I cleaned and re-oiled the foam air filter yesterday.
