Out of interest is your GTS on the stock Maxxis Tyres? Mine are of course both worn and gone now. I've had Sava diamonds
on the rear with no problems grip wise. However my front tyre was an Avon viper shyte that was useless and dangerous. I now have a continental twist on the front, but it doesn't feel very grippy, only when i'm doing 55/60mph+ does it actually grip properly.

Regarding a Silverwing i've never owned or ridden one. But from loads of reviews i've read i'd say that they're very reliable and capable of acheiving high milegage figures without anything going wrong, obviously you still have oil changes, plugs, filters, belts etc to change but thats it. The only critisms seem to be with people not liking the handling and that they can be thirsty when ridden hard. I'd personally buy a tidy one privately for a lot less, I had a chance to get a 2002 one in tidy condition with I beleive 25,000 miles for £1500.. but I didn't bid, wish I had now.

You do know I was talking to/asking Phantom309. Regarding his SYM GTS not a vespa GTS!

Though the bit about the Silverwing was for you...
