Another newbie looking at maxi scooters,

Just sold a Honda pan european, i need something a little / or much lighter than heavy conventional bikes.....My heart has fallen in love with the new T-Max 530, my brain is telling me different and is going towards the 600 silverwing...Got a good question for you guys, My local Honda dealer website is saying the 600 silverwing is now unavailable....is this correct??...is Honda discontinuing this model in favour of their new 700cc scooter / bike....i have found via the net a black pre registered one for 5 1/2 grand brand new....but very few others, perhaps it could be true!....The most important thing i look for in any motorcycle / scooter is reliability and looks take a second place......but now i'v seen the new 530, looks are everything......reliability second......i would like to think that the Yamaha brand is just as good as Honda build quality and reliability.......if it is, the new 530 could be the one for me......bit steep in price....but the looks alone have kind of won me over.

Heart will always win.
Go with the brain and get the Honda or whatever you choose: then get the tmax later, you will only loose a little money but the internal nagging will stop.
By the way welcome

Hi and welcome aboard.
My dad sold his Pan as it was a bit big for him now that he turned 70 but bought a Triumph Bonnie instead.

The 530 is VERY expensive for what it is, it may be cheaper to get a 500 and get a 560 big bore kit?

Hi and Welcome to the mad world of Maxi Muppets.
I bought into the Piaggio X10 350 (330cc engine), amazingly light after my BMWF650GS. Great balance, easy ride, good protection. MPG is amazing and acceleration good, leaves cars standing. Travelled Northampton to Sheffield in the wet, avg 65-75 mph and proved comfortable. Must admit I wanted a Tmax 530 myself, but couldn't stretch to the additional รƒฦ’รขโ‚ฌลกรƒโ€šร‚ยฃ3.5K needed. Tmax more bike like, but you pay a premium price. Try test ride the X10, but if you have the extra cash Tmax gives both reliability and style and will last years.... 8-)

So many thx guys for your input and welcoming me to Maxi-Muppets, I need to contact a few Honda dealers just to see if The big H are pulling the plug on the 600 Silverwing........Maxine is bang on though, I need summat that can keep up with Larger machines, handles much like a bike in the twisties, and looks good, and the tmax is just so gorgeous.......but hey, i'm the type of guy that likes anything two wheeled, don't matter what it is really, just love the freedom a two wheeler gives you.....Off to the MCN bike show at the end of November.....Will be spending a lot of hours checking out all the maxi scooters for fit and finish.....Thx again guys.
