Sym Citycom 300

Post by Deleted User 1756 »

Hi, I have just ordered a new windshield from Calamander, the Givi d650st,I waited a few days then checked my e mails and found a message telling me that Givi no longer make this shield and Callamander could not sullpy it as it had been discontinued.Well I nearly fell out of my chair that was after kicking myself for not ordering it a year ago when I bought the bike.If anyone knows of any alternatives to this screen please let me know.Lots of suppliers show it on there systems but I have been told that they order through Givi and they deliver direct,so no one keeps stock.I added a small bit off another screen to extend my stock screen and its very effective, but would like a nicer looking finish on the screen. Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you just need to add to your standard screen then why don't you try one of these?

http://www.nippynormans.com/products/wu ... un-8110024

or even better try ebay.it

http://www.ebay.it/itm/PARABREZZA-PARAV ... 163wt_1165

http://www.ebay.it/itm/GIVI-PARABREZZA- ... 881wt_1165

Just copy and paste the item number into ebay UK to buy.

Excellent. Ebay Italy is my goto place for scooter bits... carriage prices are normally not too bad.

Hi Spindal

Just spotted this!

How is your new screen?

I've considered a new screen and having just done a spot of research I found 3 options:

65cm x 71cm (HxW) Isotta SC3602 _____@ €64.80 http://www.euronetbike.net/isotta/scoot ... m-300.html
64cm x 63cm (HXW) Parabrezza FABBRI _@ €54.00 http://www.tagoscooter.com/sym/384_300_ ... .2655a.php
64cm x 55cm (HXW) Parabrezza Givi ____@ €61.20 http://www.tagoscooter.com/en/sym/384_3 ... parent.php

I'm tempted by the largest Isotta Screen however the total cost including delivery is €111.66 - almost double!

I think I need to get a bit colder before I'll buy it!

Hi anon I got my Fabbri screen yesterday and fitted it this morning. It came from tagoscooter.I had to phone them on wednesday and was told it was out of stock but they ordered it for me and sent it pronto.I took the bike on a 40 mile run and was impressed with how quiet it was, hardly any wind noise.I would recomend this one as it is tall but not a monster it is just right I am 6ft 1 and I am glad I could not get a givi d650st as I am told it would have been another 2 inches taller again.I cant comment on using the Isotta screen but I did not buy it because it curves around the middle more than the Fabbri and I did not want it any taller than I needed it.
