Horobags is a particularly impressive defensive rider, looks like he rides to ROSPA/police pursuit level.
I remember thinking "that was good riding" from ZZG, Liam and JohnR93 too

I would point out that I only gave my opinion, it was not intended as a "lecture".
As for your opinion of Mr. Tmax, I have to admit that it has merit and I do not disagree with it.
Re the quotes from the other thread, if I was confident you would accept my explanation I would point out why you have misunderstood me but seeing as you seem to really get a cheapie out of antagonising me I cbf'd.

Well said gn2. I don't always agree with you but I certainly do here. I made that sort of mistake myself once... then I did Bikesafe, now doing IAM stuff.

On a side note IAM is superb I did it and really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed IAM too, and ROSPA was even tougher. I got a lot out of both.

Like most people I had a bit of a resistance to having to ride to somebody else's "system" until it clicked into place that it wasn't something rigid.
One of the most useful things I got out of it was to sit down after any ride and think "what could I have done better/safer that time" and keep learning, well , that and all the initial bollockings over my bad habits.

Nah, its all praise, encouragement, demonstrating and lots of bombing round the countryside
It isn't for everybody and in my own opinion some groups put a bit too much emphasis on "making progress".

The wierd thing is you suddenly feel like you have loads of time to do everything.
I think people who get wound up by bad drivers would get the most out of it, because when you worry about your own riding/driving , their driving has much less affect on you.

Was learning lots from IAM when I had an instructor who understood the way a large scooter rides. Then sadly had two incompetent jerks who pissed me off. Took what I have learnt and have been commended on all the bikesafe events I attend. This is not to say I have not made some stupid mistakes myself!
