And for anyone interested, don't forget that the new Lambretta 300 comes out later this year with the new 300cc Sym engine. It should go well. I have a dealer near me who has been selling the new 125, and that too has a Sym engine. Don't know what the price is going to be just yet but it's a hoot to ride according to what he tells me.
In Germany, the 125 cc is yet available for 3200 €.

I have ordered in GB two " Scootering " magazines from 2010 and 2012 including articles
on the Scomadi Lambretta and will now study them.

Theres a few UK lambrettas who have done conversion with rear end frame and engine from Honda Helix 250 the rear metal pieces can be made to fit over helix frame .You can also buy complete rear of lambretta in one piece made from fibreglass so complete rear lifts off in one piece

you can just see bit of helix transmission at rear wheel this also has gilera runner forks disc brake front wheel set up which is also popular

Probably, at the end of 2013, there will be a Lambretta with the engine of Sym with 300 ccm.
