I found on my mk3 tmax i would get a nod forward until they seen the side view then there head would return slowly and pretend they were stretchin a stiff neck or summat lol, i nod at everybody unless am concentrating on crappy roads etc then am more focussed to what am doing, its even funnier nodding to bikers when am on my monkeybike there faces are priceless especially if ya pass them!

Been doing the same journey for years and yes, no one talks to scooter riders. Worse yet you are seen as fair game to push past etc. I see the same people most days. BMW riders have only ever spoken to me when I've been on a BMW.

Re: An interesting day on a 125
On most of my rides iam the only one on a Scooter. I seem to mingle quite happily with other two wheelers, maybe because, being 600cc and a large bike, most are interested and want to talk. As for Nodding to others Iam happy to return a nod or a wave if someone does it first. A few weeks ago at one stop I was next to a little Monkey bike, i think it was 50cc. He was with four others mostly learners but, all that mattered was they were out riding whilst, most other people were sat inside saying it was too cold, too windy, or looked like rain. I had a very pleasant chat and off they went, they were going much farther than i was, and good luck to them.

Been out on the Tmax today, and there seems to have been an outbreak of general nodding allover NYorks, Durham & Cumbria today.!I've been nodded at by Sportsbike riders, tourers, classics riders, BMW GS riders and even someone riding a fully kitted KTM Adventure! Maybe the mk4 Tmax is more convincing as a bike than other scoots...
