We pretty much followed this route with a few modifications along the way.

Here are some pics from the trip.

I met Paul at Purgatory Chasm State Park around 8am.  It was so cold this morning, somewhere around 37 degrees, I was freezing.

Our first stop was Twisted Throttle in Exeter, RI.  I've been wanting to visit this place for a while.  They mostly cater to adventure tourer riders but they have gear for all bikes, especially luggage.  Saw some neat stuff that I really liked but it is expensive.

Next we stopped in Newport, RI for lunch.  I suggested this place, The Red Parrot but for some reason I kept calling it the Red Patriot.

We both had cheeseburgers.  Pretty yummy!

We rode down past the mansions to Newport Beach.  It was finally warming up outside.

Paul had some business to attend to.

So I took another photo of my bike.

And then another. Pretty arty, huh?  Come on Paul, get off the phone.

We finally arrived in Plymouth.  The ride there was mostly uneventful and a bit dull.  Lots of traffic and in town puttering along the way.  Plymouth was neat though, here is a statue dedicated to the first Governor.

And another statue of the Native American who greeted the first pilgrims.

Here is the structure where they shelter Plymouth Rock.

Here I am by the town sign right next to the structure where they shelter Plymouth Rock.

Here is Paul, who is near the town sign about to take a photo while standing in the structure that shelters Plymouth Rock.

Drumroll... dadadadadadadadadadadadadaada, Plymouth Rock!

Getting ready to get out of Dodge, er, I mean Plymouth.

NINJA!
Hopefully Paul will share some of his photos.  He gets them while we are on the road, shooting backwards, while he is high up on a bridge and also right next to the town sign while inside the structure that houses Plymouth Rock.
