Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
Heard today from my local Honda dealer that the Launch of the Forza has been delayed until August. Anybody else got any information?

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
i just spoke to my local Honda dealer on the phone today about the Forza. He says it was promised for May, but it is delayed due to production not keeping up with demand across Europe. His estimate for arrival is mid-June earliest, or end of July the latest. Apparently people already have some on pre-orders - which is curious given they still haven't confirmed the price! My lad reckons that it will be between 4,300 and 4,500. He says all they've been told is it will be a bit cheaper than the sh300 (currently at 4700)
i really like this scoot. i like the looks and styling (not surprising given i have a pcx), the milage, the storage space (more than a burgman 650!), that's it's a bit lighter and i'm guessing more nimble than 400s, the ABS, and i think the price would be very reasonable at around 4,400.
what i don't like:
- why on earth does it not have a screen? yes it looks very cool, but clearly the only point in having more than 125cc is to take it outside the city, where the wind will be terrible by the looks of it..??
- not sure if it's comfy enough for a larger bloke such as myself (6"3)
- no passenger backrest option
- don't know if it has enough power, esp riding two-up

Visordown article earlier in the week didn't confirm pricing but did suggest it would be more than the SH and likely 5000.

Yeah..they quite like it. However, the pillock still couldn't resist making a daft comment about small wheels. There must a bike journalist handbook somewhere which says that all scooter reviews must contain some criticism of their 'small wheels'...michaelphillips wrote:the visor down has a review First ride: Honda NSS300 Forza review

If the journo thinks the Forza is a bit prone to crosswinds, he should try the SH300.....

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
so.. after my chat last week with my Honda dealer, i called up two additional London dealers today to enquire about pricing and expected availability. Summary:
dealer 1 (Scooters Ltd):
Availability: between June 15 and end of July
Price: ca. 4,300-4,500 ("just under the SH300")
dealer 2 (Motor Den):
Availability: August (they just got news from Honda UK today that it's further delayed to August. No demo bikes before then either)
Price: just under £5000
dealer 3 (Chiswick Honda):
Availability: June or July (still seem to have the old info)
Price: around 5000 ("definitely more than the SH300")
In summary my guess is that price will be £4,999, and it'll probably come August at the earliest. With pre-orders and high demand probably September/October before you can realistically get one. Which pretty much rules it our for me as I dont want to wait 4-5 months for a bike I haven't seen and have no option to see one in real life until August.

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
Given you're ruling out the Forza now you should at least test-ride the Beverly 350 or X10.
Recent Piaggio models have proven reliable and the Beverly benefits from ABS/Traction control and £4400 new plus you may haggle some discount or find lightly-used 1 year-old ones, also Frankie's X10 is available.

Well, there's a slightly pathetic promo video and full description on here.....asparagus wrote:

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
I gotta be honest, I'm not sure what market they're targeting.
If sales of the Downtown were better I might be prepared to venture that they are competing with that, but the slight gawky top end, (it almost looks like they gave up before they finished the job), and price tag that come with it, suggests not.
Bearing in mind that it's not even a 300, the only competition that I can see is the Xmax 250 and I'm not sure there's a enough of a call for a 200+cc maxi when you can pick up a 400 for the same price.
There's better looking scoots out there with bigger engines and smaller prices.

As I posted on the 3rd April, It's to be about £5000 for a <300cc scooter. Yes its Honda but I agree with Spike 'There's better looking scoots out there with bigger engines and smaller prices'.bornagainbiker wrote:Official Netherlands Honda price at €5799. Roughly £4995.
