Hi "NEWBIE"

Post by skittzy »

Hi guys,

Thought I'd join your little forum as everytime i'm looking up Maxi scooters on Google, it always seems to come across your name! oh and i'm a muppet anyway!

I recently got very pissed off with public transport, been commuting for 13 years, and the amount of delays has forced me to get a scooter, as when I was younger I used to crash Yamaha dt 50's into my neighbours fence! it always seemed like fun, but driving in London's traffic felt a bit daunting, but so was the thought of spending needless hours on a train without a seat and paying so f**king much, so I went out, did my CBT, and the same day collected a new Piaggio Xevo 125, sadly to say I've been loving it too much covering the 30 miles there and back is a joy.
I'm now signed up to do my test and get a full A licence (well automatics only) and with that, been looking at other Maxi Scooters, namely the NEWER burgman and the Honda integra 700, any thoughts on these scooters would be great?!

Cheers guys and hopefully speak soon!

Hello and welcome. I went from a gilera runner 125 to a tmax 500. I too only have a auto licence. I like the look of the Ingera to the burgman.

Yes, agree, I like the look better of the integra, however I'm 6'3 and ive read that integra might not suit my frame?! Will be using it for commuting everyday and the odd big travel (trying to get the wife on the back)

I looked at the new TMAX 530, and I really love the look of it, but the price point for what you get kinda puts me off! Would need to get the storage etc for that.

Welcome skittzy.
Good luck with test. Once that's sorted you'll have a job deciding what to get.
There's a massive choice of great scoots nowadays.

I talked myself out of the BMW, for me its really between the 2013 Burgman, Integra and possible tmax 530.
