Stalling issue BMW C600 Sport

Post by tmaxrobbo »

Any one had this ? Mine was bogging down a bit yesterday and this morning . Coincidentally I filled with Shell super unleaded yesterday though don't think that would cause it . I did a TPS reset ( as per GS 1200 Models i.e turn on the ignition , let it do the self checks then roll the throttle slowly twice then turn off. Turned it back on , pressed the starter and it ran fine , smoother if anything . Will see how it goes on my way home from work , but I see it has been an issue in the USA and Singapore . I wondered if anyone here had heard of it in the UK as an issue , or if there is a recall ? It has done 400 miles of day in day out commuting so far , and will be serviced soon . Cheers

If it's any consolation my Xevo doesn't like premium fuel, makes it perform worse. I wouldn't be too harsh on the BMW, just try to stick to one fuel type. I think you're the only one with a BMW scoot here as most can't afford one. I'd love a gt but waay out of my budget for the next few years!

Won't be long before gn2 is along to tell you that they're all shite

No need for that kind of talk.
The BMW TGS is a fabulous machine.
Sixty five people can't all be wrong.

Would be 66 if I had the dosh 8-)

Is that all that they've sold in the UK?

How does that compare to the srv?

I think they've only sold 1 SRV.....after all, they've only sold a hundred or so in Italy!

According to howmanyleft.co.uk there were 65 registered in 2012.
No figures for this year yet but there should have been a good few more.
Of the 65 I wonder how many were demonstrators and how many were actual purchases?
Interesting to note that the Kymco Downtown has had similar success in the marketplace.

Can't help but feel sorry for you.
You would expect that by spending nearly ten grand on a scooter assembled in Germany you would get a premium quality product free from defects.
