Hi everyone from an expectant owner in Manchester

Post by Jaguared »

Hi Guys and Girls, wanted to say hi picking up my 2013 Burgman 650 on Saturday and looking forward to my first andventure in to maxi scooters, been riding for quite awhile but my last scooter was a gilera runner 125/172 in 2003 :D
After 10 years on lots of big bikes decided i wanted something lower than my current R1200 RT but was still capable of carrying me and the better half comfortably on days out, my mates think i am getting old, but as i also have a harley V Rod (which i will never part with) i am used to being the odd one out  Harley guys say its not a real harley as its water cooled, Sports bike guys dont like it coz its a harley!
Finding lots of great stuff on this forum and really excited about getting to some meets.

Ride safe Ed

Hi there and Welcome,

Sounds like you are going down the same path as I did - still have big bikes, but my 2013 Silverwing is the most used and practical - enjoy!

Don't worry you are getting older, but clearly wiser too! ;)

V-Rod was the first Harley I ever looked at (semi) seriously, but as long as it does it for you that's all that matters. Now, if my numbers came in, I'd be looking at the Diavel instead.

Not sure how tall you are but you may need to invest in a Givi screen, based on numerous B650 owners experiences, me included.

And the same road as myself. Your biker mates will think you have gone mad and when I purchased a winter apron for mine it was the last straw, but trust me you will have the last laugh. Enjoy your new ride
