Peugeot....

Post by MrGrumpy »

Now I know Peugeot scoots seem to attract controversy on here...
I'm fed up with the baby Burger, and I've just noticed that there is a Peugeot Scooter dealer a mile or so away from my office and I'm wondering if a Citystar or Satelis 125 would be a suitable thing for my short commute, and whether they hang together for more than a few months!
Any experiences, good or bad?

I used to own a Peugeot ludix trend 50cc back in 2004, to be totally honest I didn't really have much of a problem with mine it was well built and never really let me down, only thing I had replaced under warranty was the exhaust system due to the baffles collapsing but I was nearly out of my 2 year warranty when that happened and also I never used it much is cold or wet weather and kept it in a garage, but in all honesty if I were to choose to buy a Peugeot or a honda s wing then I would go for the honda

Of course you know I am going to put my plug in for SYM. I have to say when I was looking what to buy I did not find much in the way of positive feedback on Peugeot.

That new Sym Joymax is worth a look, but should really be cheaper.

Sadly, there are no Sym dealers near me at all...And the Kymco dealer is a tatty shed of a place I wouldn't trust to repair my lawn mower (ditto TGB).

Yes....nice looking thing, but VERY expensive new (£4k nearly - Peugeot Citystar £3400 though Satelis also pricy), though presumably good secondhand ones could be found, though I'm not really a Honda fan.
If I did go for a 125, I'd want something with very close to the max 15bhp allowed, which cuts it down a bit.

Does not compute! The Peugeots have got the full 14 or 15bhp so they've got to do a genuine 70 - reviews have said how remarkably well they go. Can't get any specs from Daelim website, but nearest dealers 40 miles away....
