Hi to all , what a great site . Just thought I'd dip my toes into the world of maxi scooters as I usually ride bikes everyday and just thought this might be the ideal way to commute to work every day . Looked at a few cheapish ones that were a mess of cracked , plastics short mot's and general knackerdness that the proud owners thought were worth alot more than I did. But then on friday night after a few beers, switched on the laptop to peruse the latest offerings on evilbay. Sorted the listings by newest first and there it was. '99 400 burger 24k, 12 months mot&tax at £495 . Buy it now said the ad. So I did. Next day thought what have I done. Didnt even look how far away it was (146 miles) . Phone call to the seller next day made mw a little more optimistic So here I am having made the trip from Coventry to Bungay in Sussex in my dads transit connect .And actually it turns out its ok. Even has a full fuel tank. Quick testride and I'm happy. Theres a few scuffs and scabs but its 14 years old. wasn't expecting perfect at that kind of money but its got to be a cheap way to find out if this is really for me.

hello and welcome.
You surely can't go wrong at £495, it's hopefully the bargain of the month.

It is indeed the bergundy one. So far so good. Had the loudest indicator beeper on it that I have ever heard. Sounded like a lorry reversing. Even with full face lid and earplugs I could hear it at 40+ mph. But not any more ,it had to go.
