Hardly new - that helmet has been out over three years now!

if I remember correctly two people on here have tried it, aside from myself, and didn't think it was any good as what you see is distorted and very small. I found the same when I was able to try a friends one, I'd much rather use a combo of life saver, mirrors, and a Rider Scan.

if i want to see all the complete field behind me i move my head slightly left or right in my mirrors,

I did try it, but found it rather difficult to get the hang of. It doesn't replace normal mirrors really - the internal mirror sits somewhere in your peripheral vision and you thus become aware of whats behind you without looking (I think thats how it works anyway!). But you usually want to know whats to the side of you if want to turn or change lane, but I'm not sure how good it was at that.

Didn't help that I found that the basic helmet fltted me extremely badly!!

well, thats bu..ered that then, i rather trust using mirrors anyway, funny when you first see something and think ... that`s new, then realise with after thought, its not all that its cracked up to be .. wonder how many times we all bought stuff as dosh in pocket then thought afterwards.. wish i had kept me hand out of my pockets...

Well, it may work perfectly for you - but its not easy to find out beforehand. I was able to try it cos the company had a little promo event at a local cafe.

As we all know the biggest danger isn't you colliding with something, it's something colliding with you.

I know somebody that has been hit from behind twice on a motorbike, you do need to be aware of what is behind you to plan your route ahead, e.g. somebody tailgating you would necessitate you leaving more room in front so you lessen the chance of having to brake hard and get hit by the driver behind.

That being said I think this helmet looks a bit gimicky for my taste. I wonder how much protective padding they needed to take out to get the rear view to work?
