But you couldn't change the seals without changing the brake fluid, which is on a different cycle. Though maybe you are supposed to change the brake fluid when the 'brake pumps' / seals need changing at 15k km or after 2 years, which ever comes sooner. But it would be silly to change the brake fluid after 2 years, at say 12,000km, and then change the seals or whatever and thus fluid again, 3000km later.

Called at the Piaggio stand at the bike show and mentioned the brake pump change. The technical chap said that if the ABS had not been activated then the master cylinder did not have to be changed, something to do with the ABS pump pushing fluid through the master cylinder and knackering it, they fitted a cheap master cylinder instead of a decent one in the first place! So easy on the brakes?

Duh? Do you mean if the ABS hasn't ever been switched on, or if it hasn't come into operation (ie when you've braked too hard on a dodgy surface)? And in the latter case, how are you supposed to know? And what happens if the previous owner got the ABS to come into operation, but didn't tell you??

Hmm - a lightweight and cheap but once-only ABS?
Perhaps they felt the pulsing damaged the master cylinder seals so they turned it into a replacement item after 10k miles.

Is this perhaps one-nil to the Forza (which also has ABS)?

Add in the cheaper price, longer service interval and proper mph speedo and its three nil to the Forza.
X10 gets one back after half time with a higher top speed, but its still an overwhelming victory for the Forza :lol:

I think the x10 is much better looking than the forza, and I usually sway towards honda's, but the x10 is very stylish.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

I'm not quite sure why we're comparing the X10 and the Forza - they are very different beasts, and belong to very different classes of scoots. The Forza is much more compact, and has a lot less power, so is much more intended for fast urban work.

Very true the Piaggio equivilant model is actually the Beverly 350, spec comparison below (Forza 300 in brackets) -

Piaggio don't make a Forza competitor IMO, the Bev is closer to an SH than a Forza.

Sorry totally disagree have you ever ridden one, I can't get my feet anywhere near forward on an SH300 and the screen is inches from your face, whereas the Beverly is spacious by comparison.

Just compare the wheelbase - Forza 1546mm & Beverly 1560mm, the SH300 is only 1422mm, but the X10 is 1633mm.
