Who cares? Buy one, then sue them for not making the `standard' ABS available in the UK.

Nett cost zero or less.

I love EU legislation.

My preferred route of protest is to pop into Metropolis Vauxhall at lunchtimetoday or tomorrow and tell the sales guy to check what the scooter forums (ie, us!) are saying now that the importer has decided not to bring in ABS.

I had told him that I was interested in the J300 as it looks great and has everything I need (well, except maybe leg room but I was going to see for myself). but now - no thanks.

In emails both to him and Kawasaki UK I have said "no ABS = no sale".

ABS, wont stop the car running into you, it might stop you running into the car tho ,i doubt it help much if you are going to fast ,
which of three biking mates who are sadly no longer with us were doing when the car pulled out

Yeah it might not stop you hitting the object, but you'll probably be going slower when you hit it.
