Cleaned-off the bee swarm I hit coming back from getting fish tacos at the beach. The GIVI Airflo even re-directs the BEES away from you!
(Oh, bees are swarming now because mid-February is when spring begins in San Diego...)

Made a permanent installation for the CTEK charger. Now all I need to do to charge, is to pull out the front faceplate.
Charging overnight, and I might take it out tomorrow for the first ride of the year.

Fitted new rear pads which were contaminated with brake fluid. It was better than the metal only ones they replaced!

Had a run to J and S Doncaster to check price to change my belt. I ordered the belt a couple of weeks ago so the cost wouldn't too high. 3 hours labour at £60 = OMG

Maybe your local one is different, but I sure as hell wouldn't trust J&S to service anything let alone my scoot/bike!StevenM wrote:Had a run to J and S Doncaster to check price to change my belt. I ordered the belt a couple of weeks ago so the cost wouldn't too high. 3 hours labour at £60 = OMG
And that is London pricing, surely there's a decent bike mechanic in your neck of the woods?

It could be worth giving Needhams in Doncaster a call, they've been around for ever and are scooter and m/c dealers.

I rode mine into work as usual, managed to clean off some of the salt spray with the falling rain!
Windy on the way back though.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Joined the wires on the rear brake switch so my SH300 starts just by pressing the starter button without the need to pull the brake in. Then I discovered my slow puncture is due to a nail in the tyre so I took that off to fix it after giving up on my stop n go repair outfit. Whilst I had the mounting plate thing off I put a new SKF bearing in. Got to put it all back together again in the morning.
