Northern Maxi Muppets Facebook

Post by x10350 »

Hi
Opened a facebook page so we can post higher resolution pics. We seem to be limited to 256k here. Please continue to use this as main message board.

It is easy to look back thro facebook photos tho all in one go ,either your own or group photos. Also some have problem using or a fear of photo hosting web sites. Its also like a history as well

I can yes, but just so you know... on facebook when you upload a picture it is automagically resized and saved to a lower quality than the original image.

What size would be acceptable to you?

So... ar eyou planning on posting images greater than 2048 x 1365 pixels? I uploaded a photo from my phone to facebook... then downloaded the image so I could see what Facebooks compression is like and it went from a 2MB+ image to 180kb... which is well within what we have on here.

I'll see if I can install a similar image compression software like Facebook which would automate your uploads, but quite frankly you should edit your photo's anyway before you upload as uploading lots of photo's each 2MB's say from a ride out... you would be forcing someone possibly on a phone or tablet to download 20MBs of data for 10 pictures... versus facebooks less than 2MB's in comparison.

I always reduce my photo's to 800x600 and Medium to High Quality resulting in a 100k or less image... much more internet friendly.
