NEW TOPBOX

Post by ba249k »

My new Topbox has arrived from America?
From China via California to UK it comes complete with chrome rack and fittings and delivery to the UK for less than the price of a Givi plate kit.
I know it's not Givi quality, but it seems well made and once painted blue to match my bike I think it should be better than the Orange crate I have now!
Just got to fit it now!
Probably easier said than done.

I like the look of that, very much. Where did you order from? and how much was it? :)

I can't see the pictures from this pc but I have just fitted a very cheap box I got from Amazon myself. It's a 44 litre one for £26.95 delivered and comes with universal fitting plate. The plate does not look too neat when the box is removed, but it only takes a few minutes to revert to the original rear carrier cover on the J300.

It is made by a company called Homcom. I've never heard of them myself. The box is obviously cheap but is doing the job. If you aren't keen on having the Homcom name plastered on the box, you'll be pleased to hear that it peels off easily.

EDIT: can see the pics now. Wow, that's different.

Thats looks a useful thing, though you do lose a bit of space to the concave curve for the backrest.

How does it fit on? Do you have a mounting plate like the Givi one?
