Nodding got unusual response!

Out for 60 mile ride on A272 today. Fantastic ride.

Having been riding bikes for 35 years I have always nodded at everything on two wheels. Two weeks and 500 miles on the Burgman 650 now has me only nodding if they nod first.

Two bikes today. First bike nods so I nod back. Second rider does Wanking Gesture at me!

If he did that in the street he would have no teeth left! Guess he feels safe going the other way. I also guess he wouldn't have done it if he was on his own in case I turned round and followed him!

Sad that this is the way of the world today!

It always saddens me when knobs buy sports bikes and are insecure enough to think that by attacking/dissing another part of the bike industry they are somehow 'winning'. Quite a few people think working bikes (i.e. scooters) are beneath them and every single time they look like idiots.

I like sports bikes but the total enslavement to money and fashion is IMO the main reason why dealers who are geared up to the 'toy' end of the market are the first to go bust when a whiff of recession comes along.

Some may call me a miserable b*****d,but I ignore all bikers for this reason. Yeah,some are good but I'm not taking any chances. What happened to you would infuriate me no end.

I was reversing my van on Friday across a busy street i waited until suitable gap in the traffic this chap old enough to know better tried to squeeze between the rear of my van and the curb he started shouting tosser etc i suppose i should have got out his way as he was a far superior road user in his hot hatch than a mere van
