I've often said that you may only NEED 400cc or 33bhp, but you actually want and enjoy rather more!spaceprobe wrote:I am a convert to big engine scoots. Its such a smooth power delivery ,. So having spent ages saying 400 was the sweet spot, I have crossed to the other side. I

Very true, im a lover of small engine singles, yet like a bit more power than they can make. I think we have too much choice, 50 years ago we'd ride anything if it got us there without breaking down.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Re: integra 750 testride
I'm not understanding the people who say the X10 isn't fast enough. I test rode one (yesterday in fact) and at 120km/h (indicated) it still pulls very hard and effortlessly jumps to 140km/h where it still has some more on tap. Not being familiar with the motorway where I tried it I didn't get to the top speed, but 150 looked quite easy - so it was small bursts up to 140 where it looked clear.jamie wrote:depends what you do and where you ride if you ride big miles at motorway speeds small is useless as i found out on the x10 they just cant cut the mustard at prolonged high speedGlobs wrote:Such a shame it was a 750 though, it gobbles up all the space so there is no longer anywhere to store anything
I'm still not convinced anyone needs any more than 263cc TBH.... although the Vespa 300 still feels small and light with 300cc most feel a bit too heavy.
Where do you run your scooters - on a autobahn or diplomatic plates???
I've also ridden my 171cc Joyride to the Norfolk coast, London, Peterborough cruising at 110km/h with comfort and economy - never really feeling I was too slow as I was faster than all the lorries. If you really need to go faster I can recommend aeroplanes...

Something which can comfortably overtake lorries is fast enough for me.
My days of tearing around at high speeds are over, I think its known as "growing up"?

Re: integra 750 testride
After doing a few K on a 700 DCT and now riding a 750S DCT I can safely say the 750 is without doubt a better machine. The DCT is better and more in tune with the rider. You learn to use the box over a period of time. I found the DCT box on my 700 got better with age. Though I believe during a service they do reset the DCT electronics. Well they do at Lancaster Honda anyway.bikerdezzie wrote:Well I enjoyed it, I felt it seemed to drag the clutch more at low speeds in race mode, D mode seemed better in town, was really surprised how fast it went when givin it the full throttle twist, noticibly faster than my souped up tmax, weighed a lot, screen was buffet, was like a heavy well balanced tourer and was smooth on bends, comfortable erm I liked it but when I got back I thought if I could have the engine note in a tmax I would have a tmax still, it just handles better on the tight stuff, felt lighter and slimmer, had more storage etc, so all in all I would have one if they gave them away or sorted out the practicalities more and of course I had any money, I didn't find the gears as smooth as the 700 x I took out last year maybe as its not quite run in yet, seemed a bit like a smart car with the feeling you wanted more from the gearbox, bit of a lag and seemed to slip the clutch over a long period of time until it was happy what gear it was in.
Still rather have a TMAX! but a nice scootbike all the same!

whilst i will bow to your vast experience after your test ride
and it might be best if you kept your shitty little comments such as diplomatic plates and aero planes until you have had more than a ten minute ride and drawn up your own conclusions and not the ones mr google has told you
